APR Energy

In February 2010 Sun Capital Partners established Horizon Acquisition plc ("Horizon"), raised £417 million from blue chip institutions and obtained a listing for Horizon on the London Stock Exchange.

Horizon's business model was to find and acquire a business which required additional capital, strategic assistance and management support to execute its strategy. Our shareholders gave Horizon exclusive right to complete a transaction without requiring a shareholder vote or other approvals, giving it significantly more certainty than a traditional IPO or class transaction with a listed company.

Horizon successfully completed the acquisition of APR Energy in June 2011 for £520 million and relisting as APR Energy PLC in September (ticker: "APR").

APR Energy is one of the leading global providers of temporary, fast-track, large scale power solutions to a variety of customers. The Horizon acquisition provided additional funding and access to capital markets in order to fund future growth in the rapidly growing market for temporary power solutions.
